So you must’ve missed the part when I said several members of my family have been abused within the prison-industrial complex— meaning, LOL, I didn’t have to read books to have an opinion on it either. Lived experience is a totally valid, QUALIFIED form of knowledge and I use it to my advantage.

But gee, for those who DON’T have that experience— and even make grand assumptions about my experience by saying I must’ve learned it in an activist video— maybe reading all that shit I’ve posted would be mighty useful in actually understanding where I’m coming from when I say “prison abolition”? Even that one post in which I actually provide stuff other people have written on the subject so I can stop explaining it for you instead of jerking off over the semantics of “reform” vs. “abolition” (which aren’t even mutually exclusive in practice)?
